Fishing

Pete and Bill love fishing, and they live near a river, so summer is perfect for them because they can go fishing every day. The riverbank is really beautiful. There are trees, bushes, flowers and butterflies everywhere. They like sitting next to the water and watching the river flow slowly by on its way down the hill.

When they go fishing, they get up early, check their equipment, make some sandwiches or grab some biscuits, and fill their water bottles. Once everything is ready, they leave the house quietly because they don't want to take their brother Tommy with them, because he is very noisy.

One day, they weren't having as good a time as they usually do.

"What's wrong today? The fish aren't biting," groaned Bill.

They were sitting in silence when they heard a noise behind them.

"What was that?" asked Bill.

"I don't know," replied Peter.

Suddenly there was a loud crack and a scream,

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Something fell from the tree into the water and started splashing its way to the bank. It was their little brother!

"What...? What are you doing here, Tommy?" asked Bill while he was helping him out of the river.

"I... I was... I was... up the... tree... ," said Tommy.

"Spying! You were spying on us! Come on! Sit here. Mom will be very upset!" said Bill.

While they were putting their things away to go back home, they could see fish jumping everywhere.

"Look! The fish are back! They like you, Tommy. You can stay because you bring good luck."
